Personally, I believe he “won.” During my research, I came across the same things you did, and for me, the pilots’ testimonies were especially convincing. (Although I can’t completely rule out the possibility that the lawyers simply assumed things based on the name “Zorro Trust” without having any deeper information.)
Lately, I’ve been looking very intensely into his death, and I honestly can’t believe how many coincidences there are in this story. Coincidences do happen, of course, but after the 200th coincidence, you start to question things.
That’s why I find it very hard to believe that, just two days after his conviction, a trust with the exact same name as his own suddenly won the lottery. So many people benefited from his deal at the time because he granted them immunity. Personally, I believe money came from that direction, and the lottery win was simply a way to launder it.
It’s incredibly frustrating, because I’m convinced that many of the strange coincidences in Epstein’s story could easily be demystified if the authorities actually investigated them properly.
That’s why I’m grateful for journalists like you, otherwise we’d truly be lost. Journalism is more important today than ever.
Looking forward to part 2. I find it *very* hard to believe that Epstein would use Zorro Trust to claim the winnings if he was trying to hide the fact that he was involved, since it was not a secret that it was his trust. Can't this all be cleared up by Powerball officials, who would know if it was the same trust (i.e. by id number or whatever)?
Yeah the name is weird. I think it is a cut very much for the conspiracy (because it is rare) and very much against it (because why would you reveal yourself like that?). I have some ideas I’ll get into in later episodes, but sadly they’re just ideas. Re: Powerball there is an OK law that shields the winner and I did contact the lottery commission, and luckily did get a response but not one that really points either way.
