Just to be clear, are you suggesting that China could turn off EVs remotely, or take control of them and use them for attacks?

We know remote shutoff was possible as early as 2008 via the WSJ, so much more must be possible today. I doubt they’d be used for attacks, and hadn’t considered that, but I suppose a fully self driving fleet could have that capability. And it’s not just China—all major powers must have looked into EV hacking. It’s just that Chinas national security incentives favor EVs more than the U.S. or Europe.
